La banda finlandesa Apocalyptica continúan con su estilo único y personal, combinando la música clásica con el heavy metal en éste, su décimo álbum de estudio, «Plays Metallica Vol 2″. De regreso a sus raíces y con la participación de James Hetfield y Robert Trujillo en la última pista del disco «One», el baterista de Slayer y Fanatomas, entre otros muchos, Dave Lombardo en «Blackened» y utilizando un sampler del añorado Cliff Burton (The Call of Ktulu), Apocalyptica vuelven a lo grande y con Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden) en tareas de producción, rememoran los tiempos «Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cello» (1996), con la diferencia que ahora son tres cellos, batería, bajo y teclados. Publicado en 2024 por Throdown Entertainment/BMG.
Apocalyptica is a Finnish cello metal band known for their unique style of music, blending heavy metal with classical cello arrangements. The song «Nothing else matters», which the band has covered on their album «Apocalyptica plays Metallica by four cello» recorded in 1996, was featured in the Netflix show «Wednesday» at the end of Episode 3, which had a huge impact for the band on new & younger listeners for example on Spotify.
