Publicado en 2019 por el sello Gain Music ‘Sliver & Gold’ es el título del octavo trabajo de estudio de la banda de hard rock y punk Backyard Babies. 30 años juntos celebrando la música que les llena y ofreciendo rock’n’roll en vena, tanto en disco como en directo, de una de las bandas más longevas de las últimas tres décadas. Grabado en los Park Studios y producido por el legendario Chips Kyesbie, ‘Sliver & Gold’ muestra a unos Backyard Babies enérgicos y poderosos, demostrando que continúan en muy buena forma. Edición en vinilo de 180 gramos.
The album Sliver & Gold was recorded in the classic Park Studios (also known as the «Psych Bunker») and produced by the legendary Chips Kiesbye (known from Sator among others). Fittingly, the first single from the album – ”Shovin’ Rocks» – is about «30 years of rock’n’roll». Sliver & Gold is eighth studio album, but hardly their last. Energetic and powerful, the band prove that they´re in better shape than ever and most certainly have enough material to last the coming 30 years.
Backyard Babies was formed in 1987 in Nässjö and can by rights be called Sweden’s most influential glam punk act. Between 1994 and 2019 they released eight studio albums of which both Making Enemies Is Good is their third. By 2001 the Backyard Babies already knew their way around amplifiers and microphones, but they really picked up steam with the release of Making Enemies Is Good.
