Publicado a comienzos del 2019 «Sunshine Rock» es el título del decimotercer trabajo de estudio del músico, vocalista y compositor americano Bob Mould. Producido por el mismo Mould, el álbum contiene 12 canciones de rock alternativo y power pop, regalándonos otra buena dosis vitaminada como ésa maravilla titulada «Sunny love song». Acompañado por Jason Narducy al bajo y Jon Wurster a la batería, publica el sello Merge.

If you like guitar rock with an edge this is the best bar none! Bob Mould hasn’t made a bad album either solo or with his former Hüsker Dü or his later band Sugar. Great pop songs buried deep below great sheets of white noise and distortion, from the opener to the cathartic ending not a single duff tune. The trademark distortion, voice and pounding rhythm section only pauses for breath at around the halfway mark of ‘The last Night’. This is the sound of a heart breaking but not yet fully broken. The darkness of the heart approaching a long dark night of the soul, Mould screams and howls but never begs or pleads.
