Reeditado en 2015 por Columbia Records «The River» es el título del quinto trabajo de estudio del guitarrista, vocalista y compositor estadounidense nacido en Long Branch (New Jersey) Bruce Springsteen. Lanzado originalmente en 1980 fue producido por Jon Landau (MC5, Alejandro Escovedo), el guitarrista Steven Van Zandt y el propio Springsteen y contiene 20 canciones entre ellas los singles «Fade Away» y «Hungry Heart». Junto a «Born to Run» y «Born in the USA», el triplete más vendedor de Bruce.
