Publicado en 1972 y con Paul Samwell-Smith (The Yardbirds, Jethro Tull) a los mandos de la producción, Yusum Islam (Cat Stevens) consiguió mantenerse durante tres semanas en el número 1 de la lista Billboard 200 y obteniendo la certificación de platino en ventas en Estados Unidos. Cat Stevens’ 1972 album, Catch Bull At Four, was the singer’s fourth LP on Island Records. Released on 27th September 1972, it came hot on the heels of his three iconic records, Mona Bone Jakon, Tea for the Tillerman, and Teaser and the Firecat. Back in 1970 and following a period of illness and recuperation, singer-songwriting troubadour Cat Stevens re-emerged with a new record deal with Island Records and a spiritual and artistic rebirth.
