«Animosity» es el segundo trabajo de estudio de la banda americana Corrosion of Conformity. Publicado en 1985, el grupo seguía absorbiendo influencias de las escenas metal/hardcore/trash de la época. No en vano, son 6 las versiones de grupos tan dispares como Metallica, Mr.Bungle o Agoraphobic Nosebleed. En ésos años, el grupo lo integraban Mike Dean (bajo, voz), Woody Weatherman (guitarra) y Redd Mullin (batería, voz). Producido por el propio grupo, en 2015 lo reedita el sello Metal Blade.

Corrosion of Conformity formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1982. Originally a hardcore punk band recording for indie labels, by the 1990s they had moved towards a more southern tinged heavy metal sound, eventually finding mainstream success on Columbia Records, while being championed by famous fans such as Metallica.
