Reeditado en CD por Mercury Records en 1999 «Perfect Strangers» es el título del undécimo trabajo de estudio de la banda británica formada en la ciudad de Hertford Deep Purple. Publicado originalmente en 1984 fue producido por el propio quinteto integrado por Ritchie Blackmore (guitarra), Ian Paice (batería), Roger Glover (bajo, sintetizador), Ian Gillan (voz) y Jon Lord (órgano, teclados) y contiene las 9 canciones de la grabación original mas el tema extra «Son of Alerik».
Perfect Strangers by Deep Purple, released 2 August 1999, includes the following tracks: «Nobody’s Home», «Perfect Strangers», «Wasted Sunsets», «Not Responsible» and more. This version of Perfect Strangers comes as a 1xCD. Collections by Deep Purple, released 12 May 2011, includes the following tracks: «King Of Dreams – Album Version», «The Aviator», «Anya», «Solitaire» and more. This version of Collections comes as a 1xCD.
In 1996, the all-time great British rock band Deep Purple (back then with Jon Lord on the keys) took the stage at the Montreux Jazz Festival – a place the band has a long association with as immortalized in their classic hit “Smoke On The Water”. “Live At Montreux 1996” showcases the band in fine form with Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord, Steve Morse, and Ian Paice tearing through a set of Deep Purple classics like “Fireball”, “Woman from Tokyo” and “Smoke on the Water”. This 2LP release also features bonus material from their 2000 return to the festival.
