Producido por Ronan McHugh (The Almighty, Down N’ Outz) y el quinteto integrado por Joe Elliot, Phil Collen, Rick Savage, Vivian Campbell y Rick Allen contiene 15 canciones, entre ellas los singles «Kick», «Fire It Up» y «Take What You Want». Incluye colaboraciones de Alison Krauss y el pianista Mike Garson (Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie). El título del álbum hace referencia a «Bang a Gong (Get It On)» de T. Rex y los guiños a Bolan, Bowie y Mott The Hoople son continuos en el disco, que mezcla el sonido clásico de los Leppard con energía y melodías modernas.
