Tras «Blinking Lights and Other Revelations» los californianos Eels se embarcaron en ésta aventura. «Live at Town Hall» es un disco en directo sin estridencias sonoras ni metralla guitarrera. Mandolinas y violines, percusiones y cellos dando un nuevo enfoque a canciones como «Novocaine for the soul» o «Dirt girl». Dentro de las 22 canciones que contiene el Cd, encontramos alguna versión como ésa maravilla de Bob Dylan titulada «Girl from the north country». Publicado en 2006, edición en formato digipack.

Hablar de Eels sería sinónimo de hablar de Mr. E, o más bien Mark Oliver Everett, miembro fundador, principal compositor, genio creativo, escritor y showman absoluto de la banda. Formados en Los Angeles, Eels llevan desde el año 1991 en activo y ofreciendo excelentes actuaciones por todo el mundo.
