Publicado en 2004, «Deja Voodoo» es el título del sexto trabajo lanzado por la banda americana de southern rock Gov’t Mule. Warren Haynes, Matt Abts, Andy Hess y Danny Louis integran el grupo. Haynes junto a Michael Barbiero (The Allman Brothers Band, Blues Traveller) se encargan de la producción del disco. Auténticos desparrames instrumentales en las jammys «About to rage» o «Silent scream» junto a disparos certeros como el arranque con «Bad man walking» o «Slackjaw Jezebel». Discazo de Gov’t Mule que además en ésta reedición del año 2005 viene con un Cd extra con 5 temas grabados en directo en uno de sus recitales en Chicago.

In early summer of 1994, while on break from Allman Brothers work, the original Gov’t Mule line-up of Warren Haynes, Allen Woody, and Matt Abts assembled at Tel-Star Studios outside Sarasota, Florida, to lay down on tape their vision to exhume the rock power trio – their influences ranging from Cream and Jimi Hendrix Experience to Blue Cheer and ZZ Top. So, when we went in to the studio to do their first recording sessions, part of the mission was to capture an old familiar sound and bringing back the ‘rock bass’ of the Seventies.
