Lanzado originalmente en 1980 por el sello Ariola, fue producido por Tim O’Brien y contiene 10 canciones, entre ellas los singles «I Don’t Need You», «Love You Like I Love Myself» y «Hot Shot». Reeditado por Music On Vinyl el pasado 6 de Enero de 2023.

Herman Brood & His Wild Romance released their third studio album Go Nutz in 1980, which was recorded in the United States to follow up on the success on the single “Saturday Night”. The album spawned three singles that charted in the Netherlands, “Love You Like I Love Myself”, “Hot Shot” and “I Don’t Need You”.

Second solo studio album for Dutch Rock ‘n Roll junkie and former Cuby + The Blizzards pianist Herman Brood. ‘Shpritsz’ was the international breakthrough album for Herman Brood & His Wild Romance backed by “The Bombita’s” (background voices). The first single from the album “Rock ‘N Roll Junkie” became a small hit in the lowlands and Germany but the second single, “Saturday Night” attracted attention from all over the world and became a worldwide release including the U.K., Japan and the United States. ‘Shpritsz’ is recently (2018) chosen as one of the best Dutch albums ever. The album cover, a painting after an Anton Corbijn photo was chosen as one of the best Dutch sleeves ever.
