Jack White viene haciendo lo que le sale del prepucio y en éste «Boarding Reach House» no iba a ser menos. Publicado en 2018, su tercer trabajo como solista contiene 13 canciones, todas compuestas y escritas por el protagonista a excepción del último corte, «Humoresque», con letra de Howard Johnson y música de Antonín Dvorák. El álbum explora terrenos como el hip hop y el country, el hard funk o el protopunk sin miedo al rídiculo y éso hace que White salga victorioso porque engancha y porque nunca sabes que puede pasar en el siguiente tema.

Boarding House Reach’ sees Jack White expanding his musical palate with perhaps his most ambitious work thus far, a collection of songs that are simultaneously timeless and modern. Written and conceived while holed up in a Spartan apartment with literally no outside world distractions, White exclusively used the same kind of gear he had when he was 15 years old (a quarter-inch four-track tape recorder, a simple mixer, and the most basic of instrumentation).
