Edición limitada a 1.000 unidades en vinilo azul de 180 gramos con inserto interior de «Dad Loves His Work», décimo trabajo de estudio del vocalista, guitarrista y compositor estadounidense procedente de Boston James Taylor. Lanzado originalmente en 1981 por Columbia Records fue producido por el británico Peter Asher (Tony Joe White, Bonnie Raitt) y contiene 11 canciones, entre ellas los singles «Hard Times» y «Her Town Too» (con la colaboración de JD Souther). Publicado por Music On Vinyl en Octubre del 2023.
Dad Loves His Work by James Taylor, released 13 October 2023, includes the following tracks: «Hour That The Morning Comes», «Believe It Or Not», «Only For Me», «Sugar Trade» and more. This version of Dad Loves His Work comes as a 1xLP. The vinyl is pressed as a opaque, blue disc.
This is James Taylor at his best with great folksy tunes and of course the bluesy «Traffic Jam» and one full blown old timey country song «Bartender Blues,» a duet with Linda Ronstadt. The album opens with his optimistic ode to love, «Your Smiling Face,» which did quite respectively on the pop charts at the time. If you listen to the song «Terra Nova,» right to the very end you may recognize Carly Simon’s distinct vocals ending this track.
