Reeditado en el año 2015 por Decca Music Group «A Hard Road» es el título del tercer trabajo de estudio de John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers. Lanzado originalmente en 1967 fue producido por Mike Vernon (David Bowie, Savoy Brown) y contiene 14 canciones, entre ellas versiones de Elmore James, Willie Cobbs y Freddie King.. Y junto a Mayall, nada menos que Peter Green y John Mcvie de Fleetwood Mac y Ansley Dunbar (Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck) en una auténtica master-class de blues rock.

“Wake Up Call” originally released in 1993 with Coco Montoya’s searing but economical string-slashing, drummer Joe Yuele, and bassist Rick Cortes, John Mayall has managed to keep a stable core of Bluesbreakers together in recent years. Mayallís Wake Up Call finds him returning to a basic, physical sound after 1990’s more progressive/highly produced A Sense of Place.
