Publicado en 2018 por Nuclear Blast Records «Catharsis» es el título del noveno trabajo de estudio de la banda estadounidense de metal procedente de Oakland Machine Head. Producido por Zack Ohren (Vultures, Pathology) y el guitarrista y vocalista de la formación Robb Flynn contiene 15 canciones.

Blackening by Machine Head, released 26 April 2012. This version of Blackening comes as a 1xCD. Burn My Eyes by Machine Head, released 8 August 1994, includes the following tracks: «A Thousand Lies», «The Rage To Overcome», «A Nmation On Fire», «I’m Your God Now» and more. This version of Burn My Eyes comes as a 1xCD. As one the most successful bands in the heavy metal scene Machine Head changed their musical style from their trash sound to melodies which incorporates rapping vocals. The Burning Red is an musical experiment with disco drums, crooning vocals and funky basslines.

The band is one of the pioneering bands from the American heavy metal scène. The only original member, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Robb Flynn, is the man who puts all his inspiration into the heavy and melodic sounds.
