Publicado en 1994 por Nothing Records/Interscope «The Downward Spiral» es el título del segundo trabajo de estudio de la banda estadounidense procedente de Cleveland Nine Inch Nails. Producido por Flood (Depeche Mode, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds) y el vocalista y multinstrumentista Trent Reznor contiene 14 canciones, entre ellas los singles «March of the Pigs», «Hurt», «Closer» y «Piggy».
