Publicado el pasado mes de Octubre de 2024 por BMG Rights «The Night The Zombies Came» es el título del noveno trabajo de estudio de la banda estadounidense de rock alternativo procedente de Boston Pixies. Siguiendo la línea de «Beneath The Eyrie» (2019), en «The Night The Zombies Came» el grupo sigue en ésa onda cinematográfica donde los druidas, centros comerciales apocalípticos, restaurantes de temática medieval, formas poéticas del Siglo XII, surf rock, gárgolas y ése sonido seco de batería que recuerda a los Fleetwood Mac de los 70 son dispares maravillas que dan forma a estas nuevas canciones. Producido de nuevo por Tom Dagelty (Ghost, Royal Blood) contiene 13 canciones del cuarteto integrado por Black Francis (voz, guitarra), Joey Santiago (guitarra), David Lovering (batería, percusión) y Emma Richardson (bajo).

The Night The Zombies Came is Pixies’ tenth album, if you count their classic 1987 4AD mini LP Come On Pilgrim, and first new music since 2022’s acclaimed Doggerel LP. 13 new songs that find Pixies looking ahead to the most cinematic record of their career. Songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Black Francis explains: “Fragments that are related and juxtaposed with other fragments in other songs. And in a collection of songs in a so-called LP, you end up making a kind of movie.”
