Publicado en 2002 por Interscope Records «Songs For The Deaf» es el título del tercer trabajo de estudio de la banda estadounidense formada en Palm Desert (California) Queens of the Stone Age. Producido por Adam Kasper (Mudhoney, Pearl Jam), Eric Valentine (John Fogerty, Slash) y el guitarrista y vocalista de la formación Josh Homme contiene 15 canciones, entre ellas los singles «No One Knows», «First It Giveth» y «Go With The Flow». Respaldando a Homme, Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) a las baquetas, Nick Oliveri (Kyuss, Mondo Generator) al bajo, Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees) a los coros, Alain Johannes y Natasha Shneider de Eleven y Chris Goss (Masters of Reality) colaborando con guitarras y teclados.
