Publicado en el año 2004 por Epic Records «Songbook Vol 1» recopila 21 canciones de la banda galesa procedente de Cardiff Super Furry Animals. Un genial recorrido por la amplia paleta de géneros musicales por las que transita el grupo integrado por Gruff Rhys, Huw Bunford, Guto Pryce, Cian Ciaran y Dafydd Ieuan.
Songbook Singles Vol.1 is an album by Super Furry Animals, released in 2009. Songbook Singles Vol.1 includes a.o. the following tracks: “Something For The Weekend”, “Northern Lites”, “Play It Cool”, “Ice Hockey Hair” and more. The album is a pop CD. Super Furry Animals were one of the first post-alternative bands, fusing together a number of disparate musical genres — including power pop, punk rock, techno, and progressive rock — creating a shimmering, melodic, irreverent, and wilfully artsy rock & roll. Produced by the band, Phantom Power keeps a much lower profile than the bands previous work.
