Álbum debut de título homónimo del dúo estadounidense procedente de Los Ángeles formado por Inara George y Greg Kurstin The Bird and The Bee. Reeditado por Music On CD en Octubre del 2021 «The Bird and The Bee», contiene una ecléctica colección de canciones, sofisticadas y elegantes, en la que combinan pop, rock, techno y jazz con letras extravagantes e inolvidables. Retro, original e inusual, en algunos lugares las armonías suenan cercanas a The Beach Boys o los girl-groups de los 60’s. Greg Kurstin ha trabajado con artistas como Sia, Adele, Beck, Kendrick Lamar o Foo Fighters forjando una experiencia que traslada a las pistas que componen éste debut. Lanzado originalmente en 2007 por Blue Note Label Group.

This self-titled debut album from is eclectic, to say the least. Vocalist and songwriter Inara George (The Bird) and multi-instrumentalist/producer Greg ‘The Bee’ Kurstin put together a collection of ten sophisticated and elegant pop-pish songs incorporating a variety of styles. In places the harmonies sound somewhat like the Beach Boys or sixties girl groups. The album is very original, refreshing and listenable, over and over.
