Primer álbum tras cuatro años de silencio de una de las bandas que ayudó a inventar el country alternativo y la americana, The Long Ryders, tras el aclamado «Psychedelic Country Soul» (2019). «September November» fue producido por Ed Stasium (The Smithrereens, Soul Asylum, Motörhead, Hoodoo Gurus) y contiene 12 canciones originales del guitarrista y mandolinista Sid Griffin y del guitarrista y pedal-steel Stephen McCarthy (The Jayhawks, Dream Syndicate). Debido al inesperado fallecimiento del bajista Tom Stevens, las tareas a las cuatro cuerdas fueron compartidas por Murry Hammond de Old 97’s y el propio McCarthy y como afirma Griffin «el álbum es dos tercios del country alternativo destilado que ayudamos a fundar en los 80’s, un tercio del aventurerismo de Paisley Underground, sazonado todo ello con una pizca de nuestra propia y loca conmoción».. Edición en vinilo negro con carpeta desplegable publicado en marzo de 2023 por Cherry Red Records.
