Reeditado por Music On CD en 2022 «Splendor Solis» es el título del segundo trabajo de estudio de la banda canadiense de rock procedente de Ontario The Tea Party. Power trio multiinstrumentista, The Tea Party se atreven con todo, un verdadero grupo de rock fusión que combina elementos de blues, celtas, hard rock, bluegrass o folk rock en un enfoque musical parecido a estar escuchando a Led Zeppelin con Jim Morrison al frente. Jeff Martin (vocalista, guitarrista), Stuart Chatwood (bajo, teclados) y Jeff Burrows (percusión, batería) consiguieron con «Splendor Solis» elevar su música un peldaño más tras su álbum debut de título homónimo en 1991. El disco contiene 11 canciones producidas por Jeff Martin, entre ellas los singles «The River» y «Save Me». Una pequeña obra maestra de la música canadiense, atemporal y underground.
The Tea Party is like listening to Jim Morrison singing for Led Zeppelin including all those ethnic instruments. A power trio and each member a multi-instrumentalist. Lead-singer/guitarist Jeff Martin also play the sitar, oud, sarod, banjo, mandolin and dumbek. Bassist Stuart Chatwood plays the keyboards, tambura, cello, lap pedal guitar, bass pedals and mandolin and drummer Jeff Burrows also played tablas, djembe and goblet drums.
